It is wonderful Cliff and Monica to see the house as it is now, fully functioning, looking so lovely with paint on the walls and seeing all the lovely people here for this occasion.
When we came the first time, you had not been here very long, you said to look around the building, but be careful where you walk. It did not look anything like this. I remember the stairs were dodgy in places, I think it was a cantilever staircase. Monica you opened a door and looking into the room, said it would be a bedroom and there were only floorboards!
It was lovely being out on the lawn, with memories of the marquee up. I remember John so delighted to show us around the library and the big box of books that needed repairing.
The first time we came it was all sort of derelict upstairs, but the second time we came the room at the end had just been painted and was to be used for brides I think. It had really started to shape up well.

It was interesting watching the video today, with all the memories flooding back and it was lovely to have the hymn on the video, where it declares His Kingdom shall outlast the years!
