I first came across Prophecy Today in the late 1980s when I was curate in charge of St Saviour's Church Brookwood near Woking, Surrey. My interest in prophecy was just beginning, and I appreciated the magazine. I thought your best hit was the issue with the picture of Margaret Thatcher on the front cover lighting a candle to the Hindu God of destruction at a Hindu temple in her constituency. You pointed out that she could have visited out of politeness but refrained from lighting the candle. The Lord's word, you declared, was 'repent or get out'. She did nothing, and she was thrown overboard like Jonah later the same year. Dramatic!
