Book cover for How to Plant Churches

The first printing of this symposium of papers from the first BCGA conference held jointly with EFMS sold out very quickly.  Monica Hill contributed to and edited the papers presented by several significant church leaders including major contributions from Roy Pointer, Andrew Walls, David Burnett, Peter Cotterell, Robert Scott-Cook, Johan Lukasse and Michael Griffiths.  They each deal with a different aspect or practical pastoral experience to help with the presentation of the Gospel to reach out which still has relevance today.

Background History

By 1984 attendance at churches throughout the UK had dropped to just 9% and although every part of the country had local Anglican churches, large sectors of society were without a Christian presence.  Apart from Non-conformists planting denominational churches for their members, church planting was considered to be necessary only overseas hence the joint venture with EFMS.
