'Society is at a Crossroads’ and Christian Concern has sent out an appeal for prayer. On 5 June Cliff and Monica contributed in the first of their 5 on-line You Tube weekly prayer sessions leading up to the election on this theme. As both the D Day landings and the Dunkirk liberation, which they both remember, were also being commemorated this week, their theme was Foundations and they recalled the power of prayer when the King made his 'Call for Prayer to the Nation' in 1940.
Christian Concern for the next five weeks are holding Zoom prayer sessions every Wednesday at 12.30 (repeated on Fridays at 7.30 am) and have their Round the Table 'Election Watch' discussions on Zoom on Fridays at 1.00pm. These will culminate in a Westminster Rally outside Parliament on 3 July from 5.30 – 7.00, on the evening before Polling Day.
